Call for Papers
WFNS Journal Grand Special Issue Campaign: Celebrating Excellence in Neurosurgical Research
The WFNS Journal is proud to announce the launch of the Grand Special Issue Campaign, a year-long initiative dedicated to recognizing the most outstanding contributions in neurosurgery and related disciplines. This campaign provides a unique platform to highlight cutting-edge research from across the globe and culminates in the release of a Special Issue at the WFNS Congress in December 2025.
Campaign Details:
- Best Paper in Each Section: Each section editor, in collaboration with the Editor-in-Chief, will select the best paper from their section. All papers submitted by the specified deadlines will be eligible for consideration, on the condition of their acceptance for publication. Every manuscript submitted to the WFNS Journal prior to the 1st of November 2024 is also eligible for selection in the Grand Special Issue Campaign, on the condition of their acceptance for publication after peer review.
- Special Issue: The most outstanding paper from each section will be published in a special edition, which will be presented to an international audience at the WFNS Congress 2025, showcasing the pinnacle of neurosurgical research.
- Best Paper of 2024/25 Award: From these selected section papers, a distinguished jury will determine the Best Paper of 2024/25. The author of this paper will be invited to present their work on stage at the WFNS Congress 2025.Each section editor, in collaboration with the Editor-in-Chief, will select the best paper from their section. All papers submitted by the specified deadlines will be eligible for consideration, on the condition of their acceptance for publication.
Submission Information:
We invite all researchers in the field to submit their work to the WFNS Journal for consideration. This is an exceptional opportunity to share innovative research with a global audience and contribute to advancing the neurosurgical field.

We encourage authors to submit their manuscripts by the relevant deadline to ensure eligibility for the Special Issue and the chance to be selected as the Best Paper of 2024/25.
