Journal Scope

The Journal of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology (JGAR),  a peer reviewed publication founded in 2018, is the official journal of the Indian Society of Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Radiology.

The society was formed on the 4th of September 2016 and registered on the 7th of December 2016. ISGAR aims at improving diagnostic and therapeutic skills in abdominal radiology by providing a common platform of interaction to develop best practice guidelines through educational and research activities and interdisciplinary collaboration for improving patient care.

JGAR aims to be at the forefront of abdominal imaging, affirming classic and proven diagnostic pathways while disrupting and dismantling misconceptions that have stood undisputed for decades. The process of editorial recruitment and duties, review, and ethical conformity is currently being established from white paper guidelines issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and the WHO.
