About the Journal
Aims and Scope
Journal of Diabetes and Endocrine Practice (JDEP) is a quarterly peer-reviewed international journal published in collaboration with the Gulf Association of Endocrinology and Diabetes (GAED). GAED is a multinational regional organization founded to promote knowledge, awareness, and positive attitudes, leading to the best clinical practice in diabetes, endocrinology, and metabolism. GAED is an incorporated non-government organization charity registered in the Chamber of Commerce in the Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. GAED was established in 2020 as a continuation of the Gulf Chapter of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (2012-2020). It is constituted by a group of physicians in the field of endocrinology and diabetes practicing in the GCC countries who are interested in building a medical society that deals with all aspects of the specialty of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. GAED encourages knowledge and good clinical practice to reduce human disease, particularly in delivering that care in the Gulf region, the Middle East-North Africa (MENA), and the developing world. GAED has no editorial control over the JDEP, but its governing board appoints the Editor-in-Chief and provides financial support. For more information, please visit the website of GAED here
