International Journal of Recent Surgical and Medical Sciences (IJRSMS) is the official journal of the Medical and Surgical Update Society. The objective of the Society is to provide affordable care to deprived members of the population and to promote research in the field of medicine and surgery, that can help in advancing medical knowledge. The Society holds seminars, workshops and lectures for the medical fraternity. It also drives awareness campaigns supporting health care. The journal was started with the goal of advancing research promoting the motto "All Research Matters".

IJRSMS aims improve the quality of health care by bringing together academics and clinicians to contribute, review and promote scientific works. IJRSMS is a double blinded peer-reviewed, biannual online journal with print on demand availability. The journal publishes Open Access and has no publication fee. It focuses on publishing original articles, reviews both systematic and narrative, case reports, and short communications.
