Asian Journal of Neurosurgery

Journal Scope

The Asian Journal of Neurosurgery, a publication of the Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons (AsianCNS), is a peer-reviewed online journal with print on demand compilation of issues. The journal allows Open Access to its contents and permits authors to self-archive the final accepted version of the articles on any OAI-compliant institutional/subject-based repository. The journal does not charge for submission, processing or publication of manuscripts, or even for color reproduction of photographs. The Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons (ACNS) was established in 1990s and is striving to improve standards of neurosurgery in Asia by organizing conferences, holding education workshops throughout the continent, allocating fellowships and grants, distributing neurosurgery handbooks, and publishing peer reviewed papers. The Asian Journal of Neurosurgery, as the official journal of the ACNS, attempts to provide young neurosurgeons with Open Access material on every aspect of modern neurosurgery and is considered the cornerstone of ACNS' educational projects.

The journal intends to encourage and assist neurosurgeons in developing countries, especially those from Asia, to publish their experience after peer-reviewing and receiving constructive feedback from our reviewers. Meanwhile, in each issue of the journal there are also publications from developed (American and European) countries in the best interest of our readers. With this dual policy, we aim to bring the work of Asian neurosurgeons to international awareness while keeping an acceptable level of quality. The journal publishes on different topics of neurosurgery including but not limited to neuro-oncology, neuro-pathology, surgical neuro-anatomy, neurovascular surgery, skull base surgery, functional neurosurgery, neuro-critical care, spinal cord and peripheral nerve diseases, neuro-traumatology, neuro-interventional radiology, neuro radiotherapy, pediatric neurosurgery, and epilepsy surgery. The journal publishes various formats of articles such as original papers, case reports, reviews, and letters to the editor to expose our readers to a great wealth of neurosurgical sciences. Original investigations with clinical interest and implications are given preference.
