The Diabetes in Pregnancy Study Group is now accepting abstract submissions for the DPSG-NA in Fairfax, VA, November 6 - 7, 2025. Authors are encouraged to submit abstracts on the meeting theme — From Lab to Labor: Advancing Diabetes Care.

Timeline:

  • Abstract submissions due: July 15, 2025.
  • Abstract review deadline: August 1, 2025.
  • Submitters notified of acceptance: August 15, 2025. 

Areas of research that could be submitted to DPSG-NA include:

  • Nutrition
  • Complications
  • Microvascular and Macrovascular Complications
  • Psychosocial Factors
  • Technology and Monitoring
  • Health Disparities
  • Breastfeeding
  • Longitudinal Studies (long and short term)

Accepted Submissions: 

  • Accepted submissions will be published in a special edition of the American Journal of Perinatology. There will also be a fast track for publication of the manuscript in AJP once the manuscript is completed.
  • Authors are encouraged to submit the completed manuscript to AJP within 2 months of the conclusion of the DPSG NA meeting. All accepted submissions will be given FREE registration to attend the Nov. 6-7, 2025 DPSG-NA Conference in Fairfax, VA. Abstract posters will be presented Nov. 6, from 5:15 - 6:30 pm.

Scoring System:

A scoring system is in place for reviewers to rate abstracts based on the established criteria, allowing for quantitative assessment and easier comparison is essential. 
Provide ratings on a 5-point scale (1 = excellent, 5 = poor) for: 

  • Scientific quality - Innovation, clarity, and quality of the research.
  • Originality - Aesthetic and professional quality of the poster, including readability and organization of information.
  • Engagement - Ability to communicate the key points effectively and interact with the audience during the session.
  • Relevance to diabetes in pregnancy - Contribution to the understanding of diabetes in pregnancy.
