Acta Aorta aims to provide an academic forum for the progress and discoveries in the basic and clinical science of the aorta as an organ of the human circulatory system, the first- and second-degree branches of the aorta, and all tissues and organs that the aorta supplies. It will be an important academic journal for the fields of aortic medicine, cardiology, and neurological science.

Acta Aorta publishes state-of-the-art reports and critical evaluations of the findings from basic and clinical research into aortic medicine and all organs directly or indirectly connected to the aorta, like the heart, brain, extremities and visceral organs. It also presents expert consensus, up-to-date reviews, editorial commentaries on significant developments in the field of aortic and cardiac medicine. Specifically, it focuses on the latest advances in basic, clinical, and translational research into (1) aortic medicine; (2) cardiac medicine; (3) all other specialties related to the aorta, like neurology and neurosurgery, and more.
